Putin Arrives in India for the BRICS Summit

Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in New Delhi. The BRICS summit will take place in the Indian capital from September 11 to 13.

According to TASS, an Il-96 aircraft landed at Palam Air Force Base on the outskirts of New Delhi. An honor guard lined up at the boarding ramp. Vladimir Putin was greeted by Indian Foreign Minister Kirti Vardan Singh.

Vladimir Putin’s visit to India will last three days. On September 11, he is scheduled to meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and speak at the BRICS Business Forum. On the sidelines of the summit, the Russian president will hold talks with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, and Dilma Rousseff, head of the New BRICS Development Bank.
