Metaplanet Raises Bitcoin Holdings to 44,000 BTC After Q3 Purchase

Metaplanet bought 1,000 BTC on a net basis in Q3, taking its total holdings to 44,000 BTC as of Sept. 30. The Tokyo-listed firm sold 10,000 BTC and later bought 11,000 BTC to show it could convert Bitcoin into cash when needed. The move was aimed at strengthening its credit position and access to financing. Metaplanet said it plans to use its Bitcoin Income Generation business to build recurring revenue and support future Bitcoin purchases.
