Soybeans are trading with losses as traders square up ahead of the US/China meeting this week. Contracts are down 10 to 12 ¼ cents. The cmdtyView national average Cash Bean price is down 11 3/4 cents at $12.54. Soymeal futures are up a dime to down $1.30 to $2.40, as Soy Oil 15 to 20 points.

Traders taking some risk off ahead of the meeting between the US and Chinese leaders on Thursday. Some are looking for the meeting to focus on extending the current trade truce and look to make progress on the current tariffs.

Export Sales data from USDA will be out on Thursday, with analysts surveyed by Reuters looking for 1.5 to 2 MMT in the week of September 17. Bean meal sales are seen in a range of 250,000 to 375,000 MT, with bean meal sales expected between net reductions of 2,000 MT and net sales of 6,500 MT.

Harvest may be slow in the west this week with MN, IA, the Dakotas, NE, KS and parts of MO expected to see anywhere from 1 to 4 inches. the heaviest totals near northeast NE, northwest IA and Southeast SD.

The Buenos Aires Grain Exchange estimates the 2026/27 Argentina soybean crop 53.6 MMT, which would be above the 50.1 MMT from last year.

Brazilian soybean exports in September are estimated to total 8.02MMT according to ANEC, which is down 0.3 MMT from their previous number. That would be a 18.25% drop from August, but up 9.25% from a year ago if realized.

Jan 27 Soybeans are at $13.29 1/4, down 12 cents,

Mar 27 Soybeans are at $13.38, down 10 3/4 cents,
